Mwahaha. Seriously, though, these are just some of the sketches from the Arbortum where we spent Saturday, and a redesign of something based on plants or something we saw there. I saw this really cool root that looked like a tuber-maggot-thing so I thought of this futuristic world where everything had a plant motif. I designed this holding cell/ prison where humans were buried (except for the heads) by roots, and the cell would transmit encoded information up to keep up with registration data on each prisoner. Also, the actual nutrients would be fed to the prisoners through a hydroponic system. I named it Banyan 5000, because the year is 5000 and the banyan tree is supposed to contain old souls. Random information about plants? Thank my grandad (RIP). When I think of plants, I think of him. He taught me a lot and loved agriculture and his wonderful plots of land. Oh yeah, and that pre-req in my country to learn agricultural science at a young age. Yeah...(that was weird but nice to know it comes in handy).
