these are

sorta unrelated but the first is some figure action studies I've been doing for Character design (that I haven't gotten around to developing as characters). The second set of stuff is initial detail work for some of the pen and ink ideations I did for my Form Language and Design class. (the first is a study of the garlic clove piece itself) If you can read my handwriting, I guess it can give a sense of some of the instrument design I was going for using the initial object of a garlic clove top cut off. One was of an instrument that breathes like skin, the other was of an instrument played like a harmonica (with top and bottom plate) that activates spindles encased in a fine cloth-like mesh with a fine layer of water in between and produces sound (the user wears a mask that is linked to an air canister so they don't run out of breath quickly)....things like that. I really like figuring out how things work..not sure if that means anything, but it's fun and useful for now. I used mostly the texture and some ideas based on real instruments (which was what JP suggested would be the next step for me to bring a sense of familiarity to the instruments...not sure how many people are fimiliar with Glass Armonicas, but..lol.).
