being boring

Sounds like a great name for a movie. Ha! I'm being 'boring' but focusing on dynamic drawing. This is a C-clamp with a spud on the end manufactured by MR. Nifty little thing. Was actually challenging to draw because of the angles and slopes. I kind of like this exercise and will def be doing more drawing 'in 3D'. I think it would also help to set me aside if I get really really good at it..from the plethora of people who claim to do 'concept' and their sketches look like chicken scratch. I know it's supposedly a 'dying art' and that people can use actual 3D (or 2.5D) or just paint stuff like this with rendering and texture, but I love how SOLID things look when you draw them with dynamic sketching. I didn't learn to draw this way at all in high school...our school was very graphic (actually geared towards graphic design) and you filled it in with texture (hatching, shading) so it took a while to wrap my head around and I'm still learning.
