So freaking hard to draw! Seriously, is there any other way besides drawing every single strand? The 'fur' brushes tend to be very hit or miss (although good for initial 'texture') because they are not long enough, or don't quite have the right feel. Weird. So if someone asks you to illustrate a book about porcupines, or do designs for a movie about porcupines....R-U-N!!!!!! Hahaha.
