thingy thingys

So I started a new value painting, but that's sitting to rest. It's a master copy so there is no rush on that. Also starting a new painting using the Z0rn palette (we spent about four hours just doing the c0l0ur chart.) It's another self portrait. It's kind of weird because you use grey as blue, but in juxtaposition it does look like blue. That really tripped me out the first time I saw it 'change' on my colour chart (then we all started talking about 'shrooms haha..as though we do them lol). It's a great palette for skin tones, but you wouldn't exactly have it as first choice to paint say, ple!n a!r. Anyways, also, my teacher did an amazing demo, and although I could only make the last three hours (I was working on the palette and those two classes were clashing) I learned a bit from his process. I would have liked to have seen his beginning process but alas, but I am soooo determined to take a class with him again. So working more on my planes and getting a solid look in all directions (before I would tend to focus on my front view more). Here's to a start.
