was thinking about

the whole "wishing vs wanting" article I read by a great artist and mentor. It's about how a large majority of people say they are doing and that they 'want' something (who wants to be a millionaire?) but there is that feeling in your gut when you really really really want something. This was all in the context of someone from my country who was only 19 and took the gold for a sport that we never even had a history in for Olympcs. It was our first gold in 36 years (I grew up reading about this other person who had won it for track years ago..not in my lifetime, but to live through another is quite mindblowing). My dad was telling me today that the guy came from nothing. His parents did not have a home, he lived in a remote area (which last I heard in the major news was a shipping export for smuggling drugs into the country) , and he practised by throwing coconuts off a tree (incredibly difficult to do). The local newspapers had NOTHING about him and were pushing for our track athletes (which is usual) and he came out of the blue and knocked everyone out of the water. It's like a perfect movie ending. Okey doke...I did these in less light so the line weight is not the best. Also, I overheard this conversation which gave me a chuckle at work: Guy one: what's your favourite movie? Guy two: I can't tell you..that's a security question :P (sorry..it's a nerd joke)
