up doing J@va.

I attended this AWESOME Art!ficial Intelligence event today all day. I got to roll out of bed at 7, interact with and hear a bunch of the best in their fields from all over the world while eating breakfast! The event was pretty much from 7 to 2pm, so that was a big chunk of my day, but I learned SO MUCH.
Everything from speech, words, vision, ge0spatial analytics and r0botics and even art was covered.
Anyways, I also got an invi to this cool event at the end of the month that I may fly out for, and another one that is happening this upcoming weekend. So that should be amazeballs.

I started on week two (being a week ahead) of my J@va online course, which reinforces what I"m learning in another class in a different way. We're using another virtual machine to run it, so it makes me a bit less "comfortable" with just using one all the time. That's actually really important to me, like in art not always painting in with a penbrush or drawing in charcoal or whatever.

We're doing tests on gen0mes or basically strings of DNA. Essentially, you're using Strings in the computer to see matches and parts that match. Makes sense; it's like matching patterns essentially.
I'm still working through that chapter, but started today. It's pretty neat (see pics below). The idea of the class is to learn how to pr0blem solve using c0mputation; actually, the process of learning pr0gramming forces you to learn how to pr0blem solve in general.

In the middle of it, one classmate from a different classmate contacted me. Too funny because he tried via phone and I only saw his message early in the morning the next day. Yes, it's true; I've been known to miss phone calls and messages for DAYS on end, while if you shoot me an email, I'll respond right away.

Oh, this other class I"m doing where we are using functi0nal programming, we have to install this older version of the programme, which looks like something out of the 90s LOL. It's awesome. Looking forward to continuing with both!
