P0ng

I started learning how to make P0ng....
It's about time :)

Actually, I have some homework to do and I'm just postponing because it's one of those boring pr0gramme type ones and games are more fun to do...

Pen-testing

learned a bit about pen-testing today. The guy is legit and works for secret organization can't talk about..and he never even went to college. This is just a starter but my appetite is whetted. Hope to continue in a few months.

finishing up week one

I managed to get all my homework done for week one of class in C++. It's pretty fun! She's forcing us (yeup..a she..and she's great haha) to push our code through this system that doesn't greenlight unless your pr0gramme is absolutely correct; formatting and everything. So it takes a while, but I finished everything. It's not due until next Saturday, but I thought what the heck, esp as my time has been busy, and I have another class um...today (is it really 2am?) .
It's funny because as I was doing my assignments, I keep seeing a flood of emails of people who are now installing the software needed for the workshop today...um..panicking. I did my installation about a week ago so I"m ok on that end. But seriously...the last minute...uh...no bueno. So many things can go wrong. The worst is finding out you don't have enough storage for the pr0gramme and you're pretty much screwed. In any case, I guess you can attend and learn either way.

Anyways, here are some pics of the debugging and all that. C++ is fun! (okay, catch me later on in the semester when I"m pulling my hair out). It's difficult for me to write down pseud0code because I tend to skip steps that seem obvious to me.

I remember reading a post once from a guy who said that he hated to be the "UN-PC" person, but that one indicator of a person's ability to pr0gramme (in a general sense, not copying or monkey-code) is "intelligence". That sort of stuck with me. I certainly have found some incredibly talented and highly intelligent guys and girls in this community; we're like a huge family.

started working through

Today I started working through some basic C++ tuts.
I also have some homework to do, and was able to get through about half of it. Hopefully will be done by this weekend, but I should really read the lecture notes first before doing the homework :)

Here are some snaps of some tuts. The goal was to get the pr0gramme running on multiple machines I have access to during the day, so I could move between them at ease and get used to the IDE. It's similar to the J@va one, but there are bit of things that require a bit more attention. The error handing is a bit similar, though.

And...

this is Hello World in C++.
I just started with this but it's pretty intuitive!
I should be blazing through some assignments tomorrow, but this is pretty fun thus far. I have to de-install one on another machine because 2015 is buggy as crap, but this one (which is 2013) works just fine, and is compatible with the one we use in class. Neato :)

A Hell0 W0rld file in Assembly!

First "Hell0 W0rld" file in Assembly..it runs and prints it out in W!n Debug!
Met some really great people today. And one incredibly smart, fascinating guy who works with transducers and interpreting speech and how we learn using computation.

Tomorrow....we h@ck!

SO I've been...

So I've been a part of this programme through N@SA these last couple of weeks. I finally finally got my final grade back...100 percent!!! I could NOT believe it! No way no way..I know of NO ONE who has gotten such a grade. Incredible!! I'm so so happy..I got some crap news during the day, but this is worth so so much to me.

Regardless of how this ends, I am truly so proud and happy and am so happy for all the support and love everyone has given me. This is such an amazing day in my life!

Okey doke..here are some of the postings from my project, where I designed a R0ver. Mine has different positions. I also did a timeline for my journey :) I chose the name Zeld@ because my coworker's dog's name is named Zeld@. Haha. But seriously, though..it was a lot of fun!

workshop

Some stuff we did...configuring web sockets...

Website up and running from AWS. Also, got a spot in 25 for a workshop...we had to be the first 25 to get a spot in doing some workshop tutorials..and I got in!!!
*yayyeee*

you could

So you could probably h@ck me with this information, but I'm too proud at the moment of having used AWS and EC2 for the first time! Yayyeee! I'm part of this group that is using it and they sent out a two hour video that we had to do by ourselves to catch up. (I missed week one). So it worked out quite well for me because I was familiar with some of the stuff from using L!nux in general.
But basically learned how to get up and running on EC2 and generate a private key and create an EC-2 user, then create another user and transfer permission/access to the second user for certain files.
A lot of the m@chine Assembly stuff REALLY helped! It's literally making sense because it works the way you expect it to work based on machine language. So cool!!!

I LOL-ed at the part where Amaz0n calls me at 12 in the morning to verify my account. Ha!

Anyways...this stuff is the #h!t!! LOVE it!!!

lols

Just having a bit of fun. Staying up tonight to get caught up on a class I'm doing tomorrow...I know most of the stuff already, but need to go through step by step to make sure everything is covered.

For your entertainment, though...

run in As$emblyx86

A programme that asks the user for a number, then another number and then adds them. The $ is like L!nux; signifies end of the message. Cool!
I love this As$embly language, and I LOVE the H@cker community! B0ss!!!!

I was reading that if you are serious, you NEED to learn As$embly. It's actually pretty difficult to find teachers, because they're not teaching it at schools anymore, opting for easier languages. But this helps you really really understand your system. So...I bought two books, which I will be reading this weekend.
Also, I am starting this new course, which includes (on my own time) N@nd gates. Did that stuff in high school, but we're essentially building a M0dern computer using l0gic gates. Awesome!
I love love love this stuff SO MUCH!!!! How did this all happen?

I have NO Idea but this is the BEST thing that has ever happened...the people are the COOLEST! Everything is awesome..yes, like the Leg0 movie!
