Nerd-d0m

So..I've never thought of myself as a nerd. Seriously. I still think of myself as half-art, half-tech. But hey, I can't complain if people think of me in one way or the other. Many years ago, I was a bit hurt by a person I knew who told me that she didn't understand 99 percent of what I said. It was really one of the first times that I ever thought about why that would be the case.  I guess because I've been surrounded by a lot more people who are more knowledgeable than I am, it doesn't bother me that much anymore. I remember a guy that I really look up to in terms of the embedded world saying once in a workshop "No one understands me", jokingly. He had made the comment because he randomly had met a guy who was actually quite like himself, and it was startling, and they are good friends today.
I guess the best thing I can be is just myself.
That being said, I jokingly took a test online and it said that I was "nerdier than 99 percent of people who took the test" LOL. Oops.

Anyways, today did some L!sp in a browser (yayy..circles).
Also created a mock database for CDs organized by artiste, album, etc, all in L!sp.

Ha! I AM a "Nerd G0d" apparently...who is artsy as well...I guess?

AI

Made my first AI game in L!sp. Very fun!

L!sp is fun! I'm actually very tired; this weekend was so crazy but very very fun! A lot of people like myself, and it was wonderful. What I loved is that we all recognized each other. One of the guys said he could recognize people like us a mile away...head in the clouds, always thinking about something or the other.
Some people would like to think oh, they don't like people who look like X or Y, but if you fit in the culture, you fit. That's about it, and apparently I fit, so immediately I've been embraced, which is quite fun.
It is so refreshing and wonderful. I'm meeting up with these wonderful people again coming up soon...we all go to the same events..sort of like a travelling circus LOL. We all know these secret events and speak a sort of hidden language to each other, in a sense. So in public, we've been able to identify each other. It's kind of cool.
People came from all over to attend...France, Germany, Cambodia, etc. It was awesome!

I got my Viz to work!

Yipeeee!!!
So I had to retype the pr0gramme in L!spworks. But it worked!! *dances*

It's an AI ev0lution programme that basically progresses as days progress. Kind of like how a population of a species will increase over time...
before it crashed after 5 million days in terms of extrapolating data :)

more l!sp

I'm not getting my gu!, though. Have to figure that out. Working on it. But working on a game in L!sp. It's such a beautiful, visual language. I'm really enjoying it, and it ties into H@skell. I <3 recursi0n!

More L!sp

Learning to build mini-games in L!sp. Also, started learning this state-fl0w-esque thing called Gr@phV!z. You basically pr0gramme in L!sp and can create st@te diagrams. I can see why they initially (at M!T) taught L!sp to electr!cal engineering majors. The thought process is similar and just makes sense to anyone who has gone through troubleshooting circuits, etc. I actually am quite enjoying this language! It's eccentric and visual, but very structured and very map-d0main in its structure (a la-l@mbda calculus/ functi0nal programming).
